Restoration Itinerary

Stage 1: Suspension bushes at Gold Coast Active Auto Care and adjustment to Diff tension bar. (Wattslinkage)

Stage 2: Donor engine ripped from XE wagon.  Sent away to Donnelly Engineering for flat topped forged TRW pistons, flowed head and custom cam.

Stage 3: Take out XE 200XFlow engine, and throw it.  Send radiator away to get flushed and cleaned.  

Stage 4: Send alternator away for get wound up to 80amps.  Send power steering pump away for get overhauled.  Send brake booster and master cylinder away to get rebuilt.

Stage 5: Car gets towed to paint shop to have under bonnet cleaned and sprayed.  At same time will try to find where water is leaking in the front corners.

Stage 6: Car gets towed back to AH Motors to have 250XFlow engine fitted.  At same time, fit alternator, radiator and brake equipment.

Stage 7: Car goes back to paint shop to have rear guards pumped out, all rust welded, including old repairs.

Stage 8: Purchase and fit MSD Electrical gear to car.  Purchase from Racing Edge Motorsports.

BONUS STAGE 1: Transmission gets run off to Russell's Automatics and gets fitted with a stage 2 shift kit, and stall converter.

BONUS STAGE 2: Stainless steel polished exhaust from extractors back fitted at Hi Tech Mufflers.

BONUS STAGE 3: Holley 450 4 barrel carby will be fitted.  Hope it ain't too big.

BONUS STAGE 4: Purchase and fit Autometer Tacho and Shift light.

Gearbox and Torque Converter by Russell's Transmissions.  Standard 3 speed auto build-up including:

        Stage 2 shift kit

MSD from Racing Edge Motorsports:

        6ALN Multifire MSD unit

        Blaster 2 coil

        MSD leads for a Hemi V8

 

Paint and Panel by Spec One.  Cut back and total respray including:

        Custom Emerald Green with Gold Metallic Flake and Gold Pearl

        Modifications to rear wheel arches to accommodate the 265 tyres

        Rust repair to old effected areas

 

Exhaust by High Tech Mufflers:

        2.5" stainless steel polished system

        Custom mandrel bent pipe work
